Heinrich Naked Orange

€12,90

Naked Orange is an organic orange wine from Austria's Burgenland region, produced by Weingut Heinrich. This unique blend comprises Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc (Weißburgunder), and Pinot Gris (Grauburgunder) grapes, all cultivated biodynamically.

In the glass, it presents a slightly cloudy salmon-pink hue with orange to red reflections. The nose is vibrant, featuring a medley of citrus aromas such as mandarin, orange, grapefruit, and blood orange, alongside notes of orange blossom, fresh rosehip, red fruit teas, rooibos, mint, and parsley. Subtle hints of anise and fennel emerge with time.

On the palate, Naked Orange is fresh and light, with the skin contact subtly enhancing its character without dominating. The citrus notes are complemented by red fruit flavors like fresh raspberry and red currant, underpinned by a pleasant bitterness and refreshing herbal nuances.

With an alcohol content of 12.0% ABV, this wine pairs excellently with dishes such as salmon tartare with red onions, radishes, and pickled raspberries; couscous salad with feta, cranberries, and almonds; or toasted sourdough bread with avocado, cherry tomatoes, and dill. For optimal enjoyment, serve at a temperature of around 10-12°C.

Naked Orange is EU-certified organic (BIO-Code AT-BIO-402) and contains sulfites. Its unfiltered nature and minimal intervention winemaking approach make it a distinctive choice for enthusiasts of natural and orange wines.
